Norvento leads the R&D Project Biogreen that aims to develop a green biomass biorefinery using high performance non-foodstuff crops to obtain high added-value products such as bioplastics, cellulose acetate membranes and fertilizer products. The project will boost bioeconomy and help to integrate the circular economy model in traditionally farming areas, improving their competitiveness.
The Biogreen project will be carried out in collaboration with the companies Agroamb Prodalt, Galchimia, Biot and Idener and the technological centres AINIA and CETIM. The project has been subsidized by the Spanish Centre for the Industrial Technology Development (CDTI) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), so it was supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. It has been one of the projects chosen by CDTI in the last edition of the programme INNTERCONECTA.
