To reduce the environmental impact of its new wind farms, Norvento uses for the first time in Spain a new blade transportation system called bladelifter. The system transports the blades at an inclination of up to 65º, instead of horizontally. Thanks to this technique, the transportation of the wind turbine blades can be carried out through narrower roads and sharp bends. It helps to avoid environmental actions such as widening of roads, construction of new roads, removal of communication posts or, occasionally, cutting of trees in the margins of the roads. So, civil works and the environmental impact of the wind farms are reduced. Read press release
