- Grupo Lence will have a photovoltaic plant with a power of 952 kWp at its facilities in the O Ceao industrial estate, in Lugo.
- This agreement between Norvento Enerxía and Lence represents progress towards the implementation of renewable solutions in the food industry.
- Norvento Enerxía will accompany Lence in the LuGaz project, which aims to scale up a new biogas production and upgrading technology to obtain biomethane suitable for injection into the gas network.
Norvento Enerxía, a company that generates renewable energy, technology associated with advanced energy products and solutions, will collaborate with LENCE (Grupo Leche Río S.A), the company that leads the Galician dairy sector, executing several renewable projects that will contribute to the decarbonization of the food sector.
The project, promoted by both companies, has consisted of the installation of a photovoltaic plant for self-consumption at the headquarters of the Lence Group in Lugo, located in the O Ceao industrial estate. It is an installation with a power of almost 1 MW, which will mean an energy saving of 22.5% for the dairy company, thus avoiding the emission of 401,641 kg/year of CO2 into the atmosphere. The installation is expected to start up in the course of this year.
LuGaz, renewable solutions for the food sector
In addition, Norvento Enerxía will accompany Lence in the LuGaz project, which aims to scale up a new biogas production and upgrading technology to obtain biomethane suitable for injection into the gas network, and in turn valorize the digestate to obtain a fertilizer product and the reuse of water from agro-industrial waste from Lugo and its surroundings.
Both the biogas projects and the rest of the energy solutions deployed by Norvento reflect its conception of the sector and values: from excellence in design to offering optimal performance, adapted to the specific needs of the client. All this hand in hand with the cutting-edge technology of distributed energy, covering the generation, storage, and management and control of energy in sophisticated solutions around self-consumption, microgrids and energy communities.
