The spanish company Norvento brings its commitment to energy intelligence for buildings through renewables to ECOBUILD 2017

  • Norvento intends to make sustainable energy engineering services for buildings one of the cornerstones of its international expansion from 2017, alongside the strategic business of distributed generation for industrial self-consumption.
  • The company is working with strategic partners such as architects, developers and building engineering firms to enable building energy systems to take advantage of the opportunity presented by an expanding new energy model. This model includes on-site renewable generation, intelligent energy management, and self-consumption.

Norvento, a Spanish renewable technologies company with comprehensive performance capabilities, will be present at Ecobuild 2017, one of the world’s leading events for design, construction and sustainable architecture. There, it will present its line of advanced engineering for buildings and corporate headquarters, with which it aims to position itself at the forefront of new sustainable building technologies.

With over 35 years of experience in the field of renewable energies, Norvento has expanded its capabilities in the area of smart, sustainable buildings. The aim is for the energy systems of new buildings to take advantage of the opportunities presented by a new model of energy production, storage, and management based on renewables and self-consumption.

Professional collaboration with architects, development companies and building engineering firms, together with the development of renewable technologies, allows Norvento to have comprehensive performance capabilities. Having at its disposal both human and technological resources to develop ultra-sustainable buildings from the first stages of the project until its completion and maintenance.

Energy intelligence: savings, autonomy and reduced carbon footprint

Norvento’s engineering actions and projects in the field of building engineering are aimed at ensuring the maximum reduction of the building’s energy needs, achieving super-efficiency in consumption and reducing its carbon footprint as much as possible. In this sense, a fundamental element is to equip buildings with their own micro-grids that integrate multiple renewable technologies (wind, solar photovoltaic, geothermal, etc.) for self-consumption of energy, supported by battery-based storage systems.

This makes it possible to have buildings that are much more sustainable from the economic and environmental perspective, as well as more autonomous and resistant to energy dependence or supply risks. In short, buildings that are governed by true energy intelligence.

Norvento intends to convert the engineering services for buildings in one of the main axes of its international expansion starting in 2017. A pillar that would synergistically join the other established business of distributed energy generation for industrial self-consumption, where the company has already reaped significant success in neighbouring countries, such as the UK.

Quoting Manuel Pinilla, Sales Manager at Norvento, “Buildings are no stranger to developments in the energy sector, and are becoming increasingly important in the energy value chain. By harnessing natural resources through the integration of renewable sources in buildings and being more efficient in consumption, we can achieve a balance between sustainability and economic efficiency.”
