Norvento leads the R&D project MICROGRID-ON-CHIP, battery inverter with integrated converter and microgrid control. The aim of the project is to develop a comprehensive solution to control hybrid microgrids. The solution is based in a battery converter with state-of-the-art semiconductors and a microgrid control system integrated in the converter itself. This solution forms part of Norvento’s technology development plans and its development requires the experience of GEISER Research Group, of Alcalá de Henares University and from the IMDEA Energía Institute.
The project, with reference RTC-2017-6262-3, will be financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Spanish Research Agency (AEI) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the programme Retos-Colaboración 2017. The aim is to Support the cooperation of companies and research organizations to promote the development of new technologies, the business implementation of new ideas and technologies and contribute to the creation of new products and services.
