Norvento considers the repeal of the sun tax a key step towards the modernisation of the energy system

Madrid, 5^th October 2018.-  Norvento, a Spanish renewable technologies company highly specialised in industrial self-consumption and distributed generation, considers the decision adopted today by the Spanish Council of Ministers to repeal the self-consumption support toll, better known as the sun tax, a key step in the progress towards a much more modern and competitive energy system, and at the same time an activator of the role of renewables in the modernisation of our economy and the fight against climate change. 

Both individual and shared self-consumption rights and the expansion of distributed generation with renewable technologies will change the way we understand the use of energy and its role in industry and society as a whole. Apart from modernising the system, distributed generation has great potential to boost the Spanish economy by promoting the emergence of new ancillary sectors, new business models and generating employment.
