Norvento Enerxía reaffirms once again its commitment to young people by collaborating with the Princess of Girona Foundation’s Talent Tour.

  • The Galician company has once again accompanied this initiative, which in 2023 stopped in Lugo and is committed to boosting the professional development of new generations, in its stops in five Spanish cities.
  • Rosa Botas, Rosa Botas, Norvento’s People Director, participated today as a speaker at the round table “Prepared for a new paradigm: What talent are companies looking for?”, within the framework of the Congress organised by APD at the Santander stop, and held a mentoring session with 8 young talents.
  • For his part, the company’s Director of Operations, Juan Morilla, acted as moderator at the colloquium “The Planet in danger. Last Call for Sustainability”, which was held last month in Cadiz, together with the sustainability directors of Enagás and Navantia.
  • The company’s People team was present these days at the PICE Employment Fair, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Cantabria in the capital of the Community, to publicise Norvento’s value proposition to the generations that are entering working life.

For the second consecutive year, Norvento Enerxía has been a collaborating company with the Princess of Girona Foundation’s Talent Tour, an initiative that each year tours five Spanish cities to offer multiple activities aimed at connecting young people with various opportunities for personal growth.

This proposal, which in 2023 came to Lugo and this year has stopped in cities such as Lleida, Salamanca, Cádiz and Santander, includes a series of lectures, debates, workshops, concerts, exhibitions and shows, in which local companies from the cities where it stops and collaborators, such as Norvento, contribute with their knowledge and experience.

The main objective of the Galician company’s participation is to disseminate among young people all the future opportunities available, especially in the field of technology and, more specifically, in the renewable energy sector, thus promoting knowledge and the exploration of new professional prospects.

Searching for junior talent

In the stop that the Talent Tour has made in the city of Santander these days, Norvento’s Director of People, Rosa Botas, participated as a speaker at the round table “Prepared for a new paradigm: what talent are companies looking for”, organised within the framework of the Forum that the Association for the Progress of Management (APD) holds at each stop on the Tour. At this table, Rosa was accompanied by representatives of Randstad, the CTC Technology Centre and Sayme, and took the opportunity to talk about the reality of the renewable technology sector in the recruitment and development of STEM profiles, as well as to present some success stories that Norvento has achieved in this area, such as transforming its CIne headquarters into a pole of attraction of talent for Lugo and Galicia.

Afterwards, she held a lunch with eight young talents together with other managers and leaders of national companies, in an activity organised by the FPdGi’s Talent Programmes area, to offer them her vision as a manager and guide them towards the professional skills that every member of the so-called “Talent Generation” should possess.

Similarly, Norvento’s People team participated in the Employment Fair that took place yesterday at the Palacio de Congresos in Santander, organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Cantabria. The aim of the company was to show all the young people who came to Norvento’s stand at the fair, the professional development opportunities that the company can offer them, such as the Junior Talent Programme for recent graduates or young professionals that Norvento has been promoting for several years, and that, given the synergies between Galicia and Cantabria, may be of interest to them.

Focus on Sustainability

In this edition of the Tour del Talento, Sustainability and care for the Planet have gained great relevance. Thus, Juan Morilla, Operations Director of Norvento Enerxía, acted as moderator in the round table “The Planet in Danger: Last Call for Sustainability”, within the framework of the APD Forum in the Parada de Cádiz, held last month, where Daniel del Castillo Mora, corporate director of Sustainability at Navantia, and José Miguel Tudela Olivares, director of Sustainability and Climate Action at Enagás, participated as speakers, with the aim of addressing the need to implement urgent measures to reverse the climate situation we are experiencing.

With this collaboration with the Princess of Girona Foundation’s Talent Tour, Norvento reaffirms its commitment to Spanish and local talent, helping to develop the future of professionals in engineering, the energy sector and sustainability. In this regard, Rosa Botas, the company’s Director of People, said: “It is a pleasure to collaborate once again with the Talent Tour and to have the opportunity to publicise our work and the development opportunities provided by the energy and technology sectors. Collaborating with the Princess of Girona Foundation in this initiative focused on young people is a strategic commitment for us, as a large part of our talent is under 30 years of age, and we need to continue incorporating more innovative profiles due to the growing demand for professionals in our sector”.
