Norvento introduces TECHnPower, a new brand that reflects its commitment to cutting-edge technology after more than 40 years of innovation.

• Norvento TECHnPower will now encompass the technology division of the Galician company, which includes various ranges of disruptive products for the generation, management and storage of renewable energy.

• TECHnPower also represents Norvento’s technological leap towards an advanced generation of commercial-scale equipment (Utility-Scale) that opens a new stage for the company, until now specialised in products for the C&I sector and self-consumption.

• This new brand concept arises from the combination of the words TECH, in capital letters, to refer to the importance of technological innovation for the company, the lower case n of Norvento, present in all its products and Power, to exemplify how power and energy are at the heart of its strategy.

• All the product families that make up TECHnPower will be manufactured in neFO, the new self-sufficient and emission-neutral factory that Norvento is building in Lugo, which has the support of the European Commission, which has provided 27.5 million euros from the Innovation Fund for its implementation.

Norvento presents TECHnPower, a new brand for its technology division, which represents the company’s commitment to cutting-edge technology after more than 40 years of innovation in the sector.

The new Norvento TECHnPower brand thus encompasses all the ranges of disruptive technological products for energy generation, management and storage that Norvento will design and manufacture from Lugo now and in the future, including its nED100 wind turbines, its nGM power electronics converters and its nBESS battery energy storage systems.

TECHnPower also represents the technological leap that Norvento is preparing and that will be evident in the coming months: its entry into the market for utility-scale technology equipment, a milestone that opens a new stage in the company, which until now has focused solely on developing products for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector and self-consumption.

Innovation with a purpose

TECHnPower’s proposal integrates the company’s current technological solutions, designed and manufactured 100% from Lugo, as well as the incorporation of future new innovations. Among the equipment that Norvento will present in the coming months is a new family of Multi-MW utility-scale power electronics converters, as well as a range of high-performance wind turbines for the repowering of wind farms and large-scale self-consumption. Each of these systems will be designed under the principles of robustness, maximum efficiency, operational intelligence and sustainability.

TECHnPower is another step along this path, but also a declaration of principles: we are committed to a future based on energy and technological independence’.

neFO: the factory of the future, today

The Norvento TECHnPower brand is strongly linked to the progress of the neFO project, the pioneering self-sufficient and emission-neutral factory that Norvento is building in Lugo. This facility will house the production of all TECHnPower equipment once in operation, and will serve as a practical demonstration of the sustainability principles that guide Norvento. It is estimated that this plant will avoid the annual emission of 187,000 tonnes of CO₂.

The relevance of the neFO project has been recognised by the European Commission, which has granted it 27.5 million euros through the Innovation Fund, one of the most important initiatives to promote low-carbon technologies worldwide. Of the 337 projects submitted from 27 countries, neFO was one of the 77 selected and the only one led by a Spanish company in its category, dedicated to the manufacture of components for renewable energies with a special focus on storage solutions.
