Norvento, new AINIA’s partner

Norvento, a Spanish renewable technologies company with a comprehensive capacity for action, is positioned among the major benchmarks in the renewables business both in Spain and in the international market. To remain at the forefront of the latest trends in renewable energies and continue developing technological solutions that respond to market demands, the company invests 10% of its annual revenue in boosting its R&D&I. One of the fields in which it is delving deeper into research is sustainability and biogas generation. In this field, Norvento holds AINIA as a benchmark in applied innovations of biogas in the agro-industrial sector and in biorefinery R&D. This is the main reason why it has decided to partner with us to initiate a collaborative R&D project.

The activities of Norvento cover manufacturing technology, design, promotion, building, and operation of centrally generated renewable energy facilities (mainly wind farms), generation for distributed generation for industry, and ad hoc energy engineering solutions for customers.

Norvento boosts bioeconomy in agricultural areas and spearheads the BIOGREEN project

Among its different lines of work in the area of bioeconomy, Norvento has initiated the BIOGREEN project, dedicated to the development of a green biorefinery concept from biomass. It uses non-competitive, high-yielding food crops to obtain high value-added products such as bioplastics and cellulose acetate membranes, as well as fertiliser products.
