Norvento presents nBESS: containerised energy storage solutions at Genera 2021

  • nBESS are modular and easy-to-integrate solutions to meet the needs of storage and management of electrical energy flows in isolated systems, distribution networks, superchargers, industries and renewable generation plants.
  • Norvento will also be present at the fair with the nED100, its medium-power wind turbine designed specifically for industrial self-consumption; and with the nGM electronic power converter.

Madrid, 16th February 2021.- Norvento, a renewable technologies and solutions company, today presented its latest energy generation and storage solutions on the opening day of Genera 2021, the 24th edition of the country’s most important energy and environment trade fair, organised by IFEMA in collaboration with the IDAE (the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving, which reports to the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge).

Visitors to Genera will be able to see at first hand, from today Tuesday until Thursday, some of the technological products designed and manufactured by Norvento in Spain.

As a new product, they will learn more about the development of nBESS (norvento battery energy storage system): modular and easily integrated solutions to meet the needs of storage and management of electrical power flows in isolated systems, distribution networks, superchargers, industries and renewable generation plants, with storage capacities between 100 and 2,000 kWh and with powers between 50 kVA and 1,000 kVA.

nBESS’s modular design offers various applications, such as easy deployment of renewable microgrids in rural environments and developing countries; an intelligent, decentralised solution for electricity companies to meet specific demand peaks and create isolated microgrids to continue supplying the population in the event of power outages; and also optimises self-consumption for industries and businesses with installed renewable generation, as well as serving as a backup system in case of power outages.

Norvento’s stand at GENERA 2021 will feature, in addition to nBESS, another series of solutions designed and marketed by Norvento:

  • The nGM (Norvento Gridmaster Converter), an electronic power converter, which simplifies the design, integration and commissioning of microgrids and distributed generation systems with energy storage, whether connected or not to the grid, and incorporates an advanced control system.
  • The nED100, a medium-power wind turbine (100 kW) designed specifically for industrial self-consumption, with minimal maintenance requirements and high adaptability, with configurable blade diameters and heights.

These three products and the rest of Norvento’s solutions reflect its conception of the sector and its values, from excellence in design to offering optimum performance, adapted to the specific needs of the client. The company is at the forefront of distributed energy, covering generation, storage, and energy management and control in sophisticated solutions for self-consumption, microgrids and energy communities.

About Norvento

Norvento’s business in the renewable energy sector encompasses both centralised generation with large wind farms and distributed generation with solutions for the industrial sector, as well as the manufacture of medium-power wind turbines, converters and energy storage systems.

Based in Lugo (Galicia), the company has four decades of experience in executing highly efficient projects for energy self-consumption, thanks to its specialisation in various solutions, such as photovoltaic, wind or biogas generation and battery storage, both in on-grid and off-grid systems, and in the field of consultancy and engineering. Through a sustained and forward-looking commitment to R&D, the company designs, manufactures and markets its own technology and products locally, such as its nED100 medium-power wind turbine or electrical storage systems with modular batteries for industrial and commercial applications, as well as for power supply in weak grids or off-grid systems.
