The First Vice-president and Regional Minister of Economy, Industry, and Innovation of the Xunta de Galicia, Francisco Conde, inaugurated this Friday 7th October, the first Experimental Wind Farm for self-consumption solutions in Spain, promoted by Norvento Enerxía. The President of Norvento Enerxía also attended the event. The nED Experimental Wind Farm, located in A Pastoriza, in the province of Lugo, has been designed as a test platform for the company’s different renewable energy generation and storage technologies.
This Experimental Park is part of Norvento Enerxía’s strategic plan that links the development of new wind farms with the consolidation and growth of technological and industrial projects in the field of renewable generation and energy storage. The technological and industrial investment linked to this experimental park will reach an investment of approximately 50 million euros.
The farm will allow the installation and therefore testing of wind turbines between 100 and 900 kW designed and manufactured by Norvento. These turbines are direct drive wind turbines with advanced control functions, designed with the most innovative technology in the wind industry to provide low energy prices in distributed energy projects and repower existing wind farms with a minimum impact.
