• Wind turbine designed for repowering projects

  • 750 kW rated power

  • Reuse of existing infrastructure

Introduction

Extending wind farm lifetime through efficient repowering.

The nED750 has been specifically developed for wind farm repowering projects, enabling the replacement of legacy 600–750 kW turbines while maximizing energy production, extending asset lifetime and minimizing project CAPEX.

  • Purpose-built for repowering

The nED750 enables the replacement of ageing turbines without major administrative procedures, facilitating faster project execution while improving the long-term profitability of existing wind farms.

  • Extended asset lifetime

Designed to extend the operational life of wind farm sites by at least 25 years through a cost-effective repowering process that does not interrupt energy production.

  • High energy production

The 54-metre rotor provides more than 40% additional swept area compared to turbines in the same power range, increasing energy capture and boosting annual production by more than 30% in many applications.

  • Direct-drive technology

The permanent magnet generator and gearbox-free architecture reduce mechanical complexity, improve reliability and significantly lower maintenance requirements throughout the turbine lifetime.

  • Optimized use of existing infrastructure

Designed to maximise the reuse of foundations, towers, transformers, switchgear and cabling, reducing project costs, environmental impact and permitting requirements.

  • Advanced grid support capabilities

The full-converter architecture enables compliance with demanding grid codes while providing advanced grid support functions and facilitating operation in weak-grid and off-grid applications.
