«R3POWER» Project
The R3POWER project is presented as a comprehensive, reliable, and robust initiative for the “comprehensive circular repowering” of wind farms. The project comes at a critical time, as almost half of European wind turbines are expected to reach the end of their useful life in 2030, generating up to 20,000 tons of waste per year, mainly composed of concrete and steel, materials with established recycling chains, including also blades made of 67% composite materials that are difficult to separate and recycle. Although there are mechanical, thermochemical and chemical recycling initiatives, none have yet reached the stage of industrial maturity that would allow for the recovery of high-quality fibres or composites in an economically and environmentally viable manner.
«EMSPILOTUERTO» Project
Norvento Energía Distribuída Plus, Enfasys Ingeniería, and EDP España are carrying out the project called "Development of an Intelligent Energy Management Methodology for Hydroelectric Plants through Hybridization of Generation Units" (File No. IDE/2023/000503). The main objective is to conduct research aimed at acquiring new knowledge for the development of a methodology and a tool that allows managing energy storage based on batteries, which will be charged via hydro-screws generating hydraulic energy, located in the Pilotuerto reservoir, Asturias.
Integration of a new outlet for the ecological flow at the CH Barreiro dam
Norvento has carried out the project "Integration of a new outlet for the ecological flow at the CH Barreiro dam" at the Barreiro hydroelectric power plant, with the aim of modernizing the discharge system and facilitating the management of the new ecological flow regime, enabling its controlled release.
«neFO» Project
Norvento will work on the neFO self-sufficient, zero-emission factory project. This project is endowed with 27.5 million euros by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and is supported by the European Innovation Fund as part of the “Innovation Fund 2023 Net Zero Technologies (InnovFund - 2023 - NZT)” in the category “InnovFund - 2023 - NZT - Manufacturing - Clean-tech manufacturing”.
«Fisterra» Project
Norvento Enerxía, the Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia (CTAG) and the Applied Power Electronics Technology research group of the University of Vigo will work on the FISTERRA research project (Intelligent and Sustainable Factory through Advanced Power Electronics and Augmented Reality). This Galician public-private R&D collaboration project is endowed with 2,659,287.76 euros by the Galician Innovation Agency and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the Galicia ERDF 2021-2027 Programme.
Project “Trade Missions of Large Companies 2023”
Norvento Enerxía participates in an internationalization project promoted by IGAPE called “Commercial Missions of large companies 2023” and whose objective is to publicize our portfolio of distributed generation products and services aimed at European and Latin American markets. To do this, the company embarks on different commercial missions, in order to gather market information and publicize our technological commitment among electro-intensive companies and distribution network operators in different countries.
“Airluminum” Project
"Airluminum" is an R&D&I project in which Norvento Tecnología has been working since the end of 2020 and whose objective is to combine the advantages of direct drive permanent magnet generators with the benefits of the use of lighter materials, pursuing a substantial reduction in mass in this topology of wind turbines.
ZEPPELIN Project
Norvento participates in the ZEPPELIN research project that is part of the 2021 call of the MISSIONS SCIENCE AND INNOVATION Program of the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI). The project aims to seek innovative, efficient and circular technological solutions for the production and storage of green hydrogen.
