Norvento participates in the Neosuccess research project that is part of the Fast Track to Innovation call for H2020. The project aims to develop the first plug-and-play industrial solution that will integrate two complex and complementary processes: the treatment of biogas to convert it into biomethane and the production of bio-succinic acid from fermentation, two very valuable bio-resources to industry.
NEOSUCCESS is the first technology that integrates two complex processes in a complementary way, combining the improvement of biogas in the production of BioMetane and BioSuccinic Acid based on fermentation, and obtains two valuable resources for industry. Biogas upgrading and succinic acid production are separate industrial processes that tackle various challenges to date (complex technology, non-environmentally friendly production, high operating costs).
Neosuccess technology is a novel solution for the biogas industry that fits perfectly into the operation of these plants and meets their needs. This innovative solution promotes the transition towards a bio-economy, in line with the recent EU Circular Bioeconomy Strategy.
This project has received funding from the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union under Grant Agreement no. 950921.
