Our most recent corporate milestone has been N6, the wind power engineering project developed with the construction of wind farms in the municipalities of Abadín, A Pastoriza, Mondoñedo, Riotorto, Trabada, A Pontenova and Lourenzá, all located in the province of Lugo, Spain.

The wind farms have a total power output of 128 MW and produce an annual amount of energy equivalent to the electricity consumption of a municipality of 90,000 inhabitants.

Our forecast with these new parks is to help prevent the emission of 4 million tons of CO2 during their useful life. Moreover, their construction and operation entail numerous benefits for the municipalities where they are located, generating approximately 19 million euros for local and regional authorities in fees and taxes.

The new wind farms are being monitored and managed both from the control centres located in the installations themselves and from our Control Centre located at the company’s headquarters in Lugo, the Norvento Enerxía Innovation Centre (CIne).

Our 6 new wind farms will eliminate the emission of 4M tonnes of CO2 in Lugo province.

Located in the municipality of Mondoñedo in the province of Lugo, Spain. It consists of 5 Gamesa V126 wind turbines with a rotor of 126 metres and a height of 87 metres, producing a total power output of 18 MW.

Located in the municipalities of Mondoñedo and Abadín in the province of Lugo, Spain. It consists of 3 Gamesa V126 wind turbines with a rotor of 126 metres and a height of 87 metres, producing a total power output of 9.9 MW.

It is located in the municipalities of Trabada, Riotorto, Lourenza, A Pastoriza and Mondoñedo in the province of Lugo, Spain. It consists of 6 Gamesa V136 wind turbines with a rotor of 135 metres and a height of 82 metres, producing a total power output of 19.8 MW.

It is located in the municipalities of Abadín and Muras in the province of Lugo, Spain. It consists of 31 wind turbines with a power output of 660kW, for a total power output of 20.5 MW. The wind power installation has a building where the substation and the operation and maintenance centre are located, built with locally sourced materials that provide maximum integration into the environment.

It is located near the Montouto Wind Farm, with which it shares some of its installations. It consists of 15 Ecotecnia E-74 wind turbines with a power output of 1,600 kW, for a total power output of 24 MW. During its construction, the width of the roads, the surface area of the wind turbine platforms and the clearings were minimised, and the area was completely replanted and landscaped.

Located in the municipality of Muras in the province of Lugo, Spain. It consists of 31 x 1,600 kW Ecotecnia E-74 wind turbines with a rotor shank of 60 metres and a height of 74 metres, producing a total power output of 49.6 MW. The wind power installation has a building where the substation and the operation and maintenance centre are situated. The building’s architecture is avant-garde and it is perfectly integrated in the surrounding environment.

Located in Vilalba in the province of Lugo, Spain. It includes the first unit that was produced of the Norvento nED100 wind turbine. With its nominal power output of 100kW, it supplies the Norvento wind turbine assembly plant and feeds energy into the surplus power grid.

Located in Cervo, in the north of the province of Lugo, Spain. It is a coastal area with strong winds, and the site has made it possible to test design improvements of the nED100 wind turbines, of which two units are installed in Cervo, currently totalling a nominal power output of 200kW.

The port of Shoreham is a prosperous commercial port on the south coast of England. This eco-port is constantly seeking ways to improve and reduce its carbon footprint. Since the nED100 wind turbines were installed, its power consumption from the grid has been cut by 50%

The two nED100 wind turbines situated on Slagnaw farm, Castle Douglas, Scotland, are used to supply electricity to a dairy farm. The electricity is used to cool milk and water 24 hours a day. Since the two nED100s were installed, the farm has reduced its electricity bill by 40%.

Our headquarters and laboratory, located in Lugo, Spain, benefits from the wind energy provided by our nED100 medium-power wind turbine, among other integrated renewable technologies, which make this facility a leading zero energy building in Europe.

Norvento has a portfolio of distributed electricity generation installations in the United Kingdom in which it operates as a developer and independent electricity producer. They all use nED100 Wind Turbine technology and supply electricity to industrial, agriculture and livestock breeding, and infrastructure such as ports.
